A series of �gKurofune (the Western black ships)�h visits to Eastern Asia in 16th century �| the first cultural encounter West meets East, the Western ships took variety of goods and foods to home, however the sea cucumber was never been treated valued even though it has been a delicacy in Asia. A glass model of a sea cucumber that �gswallows�h and �gdigests�h a Western ship symbolizes the gap of appreciation of cultural, regional identity.
